What Would Be The Minimum Number Of Hits/visits For A Blog To Generate Advertisers?

I’m currently with a free blog site that does not permit advertising, but I’ve grown a pretty steady following. I’ve been thinking of switching to a pay-site that allows for advertising, but wouldn’t want the costs to be greater than the revenue. Do advertisers find you, or do you have to seek them out? I’ve heard some mention of Google Adsense (sp?). How do they work, and are there similar services?
Thanks!

Create adsense a/c and post ads on your blog

That’s how most websites work these days. Take any website that you use for free, say one that you ask this question on. How does it make money?
    sponsored listings,
search pay per click advertising and you might the companies you are looking for. You put some html code into your web page and adverts appear on your site. You get paid by a combination of impressions and clicks.
My websites don’t use them though, they can look tacky and divert your customers somewhere else, but if it’s just a blog you’ve got, then there isn’t an issue.
