Depending on what version of WordPress she has and whether it’s self-hosted or not (I’m going to assume WordPress 2.7 or below and that she has it hosted herself)..
1. Sign into the blog
2. If WordPress 2.7 – click “Appearance” in the left hand menu
(If Pre-Wordpress 2.7, it will be located in the top menu)
3. Click “Widgets”
If it is a properly designed theme, then you should be able to edit and remove any widgets in the right-hand side of the screen by clicking the little “edit” link for each widget. Choose edit -> remove to delete the widget.
Navigate the different sections by using the “drop-down” box at the top-right (directly above the installed widgets).
If the theme is of old (or Poor) design, then you won’t see any widgets in that section at all – if that’s the case, then it’s going to take some theme modifying (Appearance -> Editor -> Sidebar) – let me know if this is the case and I’ll show you where to look because it can be quite tricky if you delete the wrong thing or if you’re not sure what you’re doing, and if it is a really old theme – you might actually be better off getting a newer theme that is more user-friendly to manage and less stressful.
its easy
sign-in wordpress
go to dashboard
go to widget of appearance menu in dashboard
then you see all widgets available in center column, and widget you used in right column
click on right side sign of widget you don’t want
and click remove there…
you done now..
